The Popcorn Panel Reacts to “Main Manto Nahi Hoon”

The panel’s reaction to Main Manto Nahi Hoon was of full-blown sarcasm and sheer disappointment, boldly translated from the exasperated cry of one of the co-host as, “Ya Allah, meri aankhon ne kya dekh liya!” In the panel’s view, this drama had begun with a seemingly grand storyline of rival clans and revenge concoctions that slowly dissolved into a “cringeworthy” and illogical love story in its preceding episodes.

The Popcorn Panel’s Take on “Case No. 9”

While debating upon the show’s scheduled time slot due to the sensitivity of topic, the hosts touched on the point that it’s high time such issues are discussed openly in a family environment as per the need of these times.

Following the review of drama Case No. 9, the hosts had a praising tone for its fast-paced nature up to this point in this program on TV with just a bit of debate. They admired its gripping and are curious how this show will move forward with its storyline. The panel also exchanged thoughts on the educational aspects of this show, particularly the scenes that showed how a victim’s statement is recorded in court.

Why “Biryani” Disappointed The Popcorn Panel

‘Biryani’ show received a flat disappointment mark from the hosts..

A drama that had a point of admiration, is  now spiraling down into the typical melodrama losing the affection of the host of the popcorn panel. The point of “cringe” was articulated openly during the show which reminds us of the unfiltered discussions at myco. The hosts wrapped up this review on a humourous tone by metaphorically calling the show as thandi Lahori styled biryani with its mild taste as opposed to Karachi’s Spicy flavoured biryani.

The Popcorn Panel’s Views on Horror-Comedy Shows

Directed by a well-known director Saife Hassan offered a much-needed change of pace as a horror-comedy. The panel’s reviews were heavily divided, with some hosts having a nostalgic moment of similar and better old programs of this genre while the gen-Z take on it varied. Despite the mixed reactions, the panel appreciated the show for bringing something “new” to the screen, even though it wasn’t entirely successful, dubbing the show as the not-so-funny script but still this review had all hosts holding a separate individual stance.

They don’t hold back, and that’s exactly what makes it worth watching.

The Popcorn Panel wraps up its episode by awarding its weekly “toppers,” confirming their commitment to the shows they review. Whether you agree with their hot takes or not, the panel is a must-watch for anyone who wants a review that’s as engaging as the dramas themselves.
