Team Legion’s Victory | Esports Championship 2025

The Esports event took place from November 7th to November 22nd, 2025 in Pakistan. It was the country’s first-ever government-backed esports tournament had such a massive response that it raised the bar for competitive gaming events in the country. This tournament became the sole platform to feature local gamers showcasing their distinctive talents and get recognized on a national level. Following is the detailed breakdown of the event’s results and key details:

Featured Games and Participation

In Sindh Esports event specifically the main focus was in FPS games: CS2 and Valorant:

  • Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) : An online game where two teams Terrorists (T) and Counter-Terrorists (CT) face off in objective-based maps.
  • Valorant: It is a team-based tactical shooter game. It includes precise gunplay with unique agent abilities(a set of abilities that make Valorant fighter different from a standard shooter like CS2)

The event got an amazing response from the Pakistani gaming community, with over 400 teams that registered to participate in the competition and more than 2,500 players participating from across the country. For this day, the political party Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Sindh Sports Minister Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Mehr were scheduled to attend the Grand Finals to present the prizes to the winners.

Prize Pool and Recognition

This tournament had a prize pool of 1,500,000. Such a major investment by Sindh government highlights the government’s commitment to promote the esports sector in the country.

Champions and Final Results

After the competitive games came the exciting Grand Final that was held in Karachi.

The winners ” team Legion” and team that came 2nd “Wah Wah“, got the grand prize pool of RS 500,00 each by the provincial sports minister. While the remaining Rs 500,000 from the prize pool of 1,500,000 went to other top teams and special awards, such as best player or teams with standout performances.


Takedown 2025 (Lahore)

This was a major esports tournament that was held in Lahore, Pakistan from October 24 to 26, 2025. The event took place at Nishtar Sports Complex (near Gaddafi Stadium). It was organized by Baaz Esports in collaboration with Jazz GameNow. The event had competitive matches, cosplay walks, fan meetups, live giveaways, and a celebration of gaming culture that gave the vibes of a festival rather than a competition. Over 400 players competed across the tournament. The prize pool for Tekken 8(the game’s headline title) was of PKR 2.5 million. It was a three day long event with early pool rounds, followed by elimination rounds and Grand finale day.

Usama Abbasi came out as the champion of this competition after defeating Falcons Farzeen in a dramatic Finale. While the Top 8 finalists included these competitors: Mohsin Shooter, Usama Abbasi, M Zubair, The Jon, Hafeez, Heera Malik, Ammar XR, and Falcons Farzeen. Even when Arslan Arsh’s appearance attracted a massive crowd in this competition, he wasn’t able to make it to thev final 8 list in the competition.

What Made Takedown 2025 Stand Out is the fact that this was the first time a Pakistani tournament officially became a part of the global Tekken World Tour (2025 circuit). This is a  milestone for Esports platform in Pakistan. The competition gave a platform for domestic players to present their skills on a global-tier stage from their own country.
