Managerial Quotes

Aston Villa (Unai Emery)

I’m so happy. We finished this week really playing like we need to – competing, demanding things from ourselves, adapting to our opponents, and playing with personality.”

Analytical note:
Villa’s coach expressed his joy as his team had a close win this week. While appreciating his team’s strong focus on performance, teamwork, and self-awareness, he called this match his team’s best playing strategy.

Arsenal (Mikel Arteta)

“We had some dominance in the second half… I had the feeling we were going to win the game, so to lose it in the manner we did is painful. Eighteen games unbeaten, you lose a game, and that’s what it is – this is football. It is what it is.”

Analytical note:
Arteta sounded disappointed over his team’s close loss. He also mentioned how upsetting it is to have a winning streak broken and wrapped up his closing remarks by calling it a game of football at the end of the day.

Match Summary

Chelsea’s draw of (0-0) against Bournemouth in EPL matchweek 15 is its third consecutive match without a win. This result dropped points again for The Blues, and if Crystal Palace beat Fulham in this matchweek, then Chelsea could slip to fifth position in the League’s table. Moreover, on the opponent’s side, Bournemouth thought they scored early through Semenyo, but VAR ruled it out for offside. Chelsea’s goalkeeper Robert Sanchez had made several key saves throughout the game, while Alejandro Garnacho made an “almost goal” by hitting the post after halftime.

Highlights of the Game

  • Chelsea got lucky early in the game twice because Bournemouth’s one goal and a claim for a penalty shot were declared as being offside.
  • Evanilson missed a clear chance in the 35th minute after Sanchez blocked Semenyo’s strong shot.
  • Just before halftime, Sanchez made two big saves from Alex Scott and Semenyo to keep the score at (0-0).
  • Early in the second half, Petrovic saved a low shot from Pedro Neto, and Garnacho’s header hit the post as Chelsea tried to take control.
  • Sanchez had a calmer finish to the game but still stopped another powerful shot from Semenyo, and neither team could score in the end.

Managerial Quotes

Bournemouth (Andoni Iraola)

“A draw is a fair result. It is even better when there is a clean sheet. We had our chances, they had their chances. The intensity and quality of the football was good.”

Analytical note:
Bournemouth goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic spoke to the media while commenting on their performance as satisfactory. He remarked how when both sides play equally well on the ground, ending with neither scoring nor conceding a goal, then it reflects that football was played with its purpose and intensity.

Chelsea (Enzo Maresca)

“Coming in from a loss in our last game, we wanted to redeem ourselves. I think we played well. We kept a clean sheet, and we didn’t lose the game. We take the point and go into the next game needing three points.”

Analytical note:
Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez has also been speaking to Premier League Productions and commented in a post-match review of the game by addressing their previous loss with zero points, and compared to that, this draw point is a performance improvement, and that’s what matters for the team at the end of the day.

Managerial Quotes

Manchester City (Pep Guardiola)

No, this is the first time. He has a special and unique quality. Sometimes you love him, and sometimes you hate him. He had composure and personality, and he helped us to play in the final third. He has something that his mum and dad gave to him.”

Managerial Quotes

Newcastle United (Eddie Howe)

It was a bizarre ending because we looked like we were home at 2-0. One goal can always change things, and then the penalty happens. The extra man advantage then goes out of the window, and you have to see that bit out.

Analytical note:
The coach sounded extremely disappointed for not getting a win with a clean sheet. He highlighted the shift of momentum that took place later in the game due to conceding one point.

Burnley (Scott Parker)

The biggest thing now is that these players have set a bar [with this performance]. It is a young group that is developing, and today’s performance is how I want us to look.

Analytical note:
Parker kept his closing remarks an optimistic analysis of his players’ performance and seemed content that his team had shown their best playing side in this game.

Managerial Quotes

Tottenham Hotspur (Thomas Frank)

Offensively, we looked like a big threat going forward. We were much more dynamic and produced good chances and good moments. I really like that. Also, the defensive side of things, we kept them to four shots throughout the game… The fans were amazing from the off, and the players were thriving off them. To have that complete collaboration together, I really loved that. It was a great win.”

Analytical note:
Frank addressed with pride how his team had entered the game and kept their brilliant composure as a defense, while also creating great attacking chances throughout the game. He admired how the crowd and players had synced together, creating an amazing atmosphere and energy during the game.

Brentford (Keith Andrews)

“I’m focusing on today, really, not so much overall. Some of the performances have been really good. If we look at today’s performance, it wasn’t really good enough, and we have to own that.”

Analytical note:
On their away form being disappointing, Andrews commented on how the team has given better performances in football. However,  this game didn’t see the true skills and playing potential of his team.

Managerial Quotes

Leeds United (Daniel Farke)

It is just one point, but the lads can take even more than just one point from it. It feels a bit like a win tonight. All the credit goes to my players. To bring it on the pitch against the reigning champions was second to none, so all of the credit goes to my players.

Analytical note:
The head coach was all praise for his players as they pulled off a draw at such an amazing score. He expressed that with such a score, the team can improve its play a little and win all three victory points instead of one draw point.

Liverpool (Arne Slot)

“The way the whole game went for us. For me, it felt like there were so many positives to take from this game, which has happened to us so many times this season, where you felt like there were so many positives to take, except for the result. Then it would’ve been nice to get that result combined with the performance.

Analytical note:
Slot reflected on how, despite a great game with lots of positive and inspiring moments, the team has been struggling to get the sole victory as an outcome from such a game of football, and the target is to achieve that desired result, combined with this performance.

Managerial Quotes

Brighton and Hove Albion (Fabian Hürzeler)

We definitely wanted more, but in the end, we didn’t deserve more because we didn’t play with energy and intensity in the first half. We deserved to concede a goal, and we reacted well.

Analytical note:
Brighton’s coach gave out straightforward and honest feedback in his closing remarks, calling out his players on their reckless performance that had cost them the dominating win of this game.

West Ham United (Nuno Espírito Santo

Crystal Palace defeated Fulham with a (2-1) score after Marc Guehi scored a powerful header in the 87′. Palace had taken the lead through Eddie Nketiah. However, Fulham equalized with a great finish from Harry Wilson before the break. Fulham briefly thought they’d won the game when Emile Smith Rowe scored, but it was ruled offside. Guehi then scored his second goal late in the game to secure the winning points. The win lifts Palace to fourth in the table, while Fulham stays at 15th position safely above the relegation zone.

Highlights of the Game

  • The game started off slowly, but Mateta got the first clear chance and shot straight at Leno.
  • In the 20th minute, Nketiah put Palace in front by running onto Wharton’s pass and hitting a low shot into the corner.
  • Fulham’s Smith Rowe almost tried to attack, but Palace’s Henderson blocked his shot by tipping the ball onto the bar. At 38′, Wilson attempted to score and successfully scored a curled goal after a slick passing move of one-two with Jimenez.
  • Fulham thought they scored again when Iwobi’s header hit the post and Smith Rowe put in the rebound, but VAR ruled it out because Chukwueze was offside earlier in the play.
  • Palace pushed hard near the end. Leno blocked Uche’s effort, but shortly after, Guehi headed in the winning goal for the team.

Managerial Quotes

Fulham (Marco Silva)

“A disappointing result. We didn’t deserve it. We knew it would be tough. We knew they were a team that would come here to try to block us, sit deep, and organise themselves in a 4-5-1 every time. We knew we had to be patient.”

Analytical note:
Silva analyzed how Palace gets to them through their organized strategic play. He admits the challenge of this encounter and sounds disappointed with the loss.

Crystal Palace (Oliver Glasner)

“What makes me really proud is that, although we were lucky in one situation when their goal was ruled out. But for me, the longer the game went on, the more likely it felt like we were to win it… We were playing forward, creating some nice attacks and creating chances – then we got the game winner from a set-play.”

Analytical note:
Glasner was clearly overjoyed with the win, expressing his confidence in his team’s performance throughout the game.

Match Summary

Manchester United moved up to sixth position after a win with a score of 4-1 at Molineux Stadium against Wolves, who are sitting at the bottom of the League table. Bruno Fernandes gave United the lead with his opening goal, but Wolves equalized just before half-time through Bellegarde. In the second half, Bryan Mbeumo had given United the lead again with his second goal, and later Fernandes had set up Mason Mount to make it (3-1). In the 82′, Fernandes scored a late penalty to bag victory of the day. Wolves stayed without a win this season after this encounter, and are 13 points behind safety, while United are just one point away from being in the top four teams.

Highlights of the Game

  • United almost scored twice early on. Wolves’ Johnstone had saved Dalot’s shot after he slipped past the offside trap, and then he stopped Mbeumo’s volley too.
  • However, Wolves kept messing up in their game, and it had started to cost them this match. Andre lost the ball easily to Casemiro, and even though Fernandes of Man Utd slipped, he still managed to push the ball past Johnstone to make it a successful goal and (1-0) score on the scoreboard.
  • Wolves’ Toti Gomes cleared a shot off the line to save Wolves, and they used that lucky break well. In stoppage time, Wolfe knocked a loose cross back into the middle, and Bellegarde finished it, equalizing the score to (1-1).
  • After half-time, United had really turned up the heat. Dalot sent in a cross, and Mbeumo tapped it into an empty goal for (2-1).
  • Not long after, United’s Fernandes lifted a brilliant pass over Wolves’ defense, and Mount just had to side-foot it in for (3-1).
  • Fernandes ended the match with two goals, calmly scoring a penalty into the bottom-left corner after VAR said Mosquera blocked Amad’s shot with his arm.

Managerial Quotes

Wolverhampton Wanderers (Rob Edwards)

We gave the ball to them, ‘there you go, Man Utd’. It’s impossible to win a game of football that way.”

Analytical note:
Edwards had a sarcastic tone about the performance of his players in the last match of EPL Matchweek 16. He addressed how the players had made petty mistakes and played poorly, just as if they handed over the ball to their opponents and welcomed them to score away.

Manchester United (Ruben Amorim)

“I think we improved a lot if you compare us to last season. This season, we are creating so many more chances and scoring more goals and having more real situations of danger, so I’m really pleased with that.”

Analytical note:
Amorim, on the other hand, praised his team’s performance in this encounter and beamed upon acknowledging that the players are making progress in terms of their play of football.

  • It is my belief that mesothelioma is most deadly cancer. It contains unusual qualities. The more I actually look at it the greater I am assured it does not conduct itself like a real solid human cancer. In the event mesothelioma is actually a rogue virus-like infection, then there is the chance for developing a vaccine plus offering vaccination for asbestos open people who are at high risk regarding developing upcoming asbestos associated malignancies. Thanks for giving your ideas on this important health issue.
