The latest promotional ad campaign of the Pakistan vs Australia T20I series has started to capture attention all over the digital platforms. For this 3-day tour, the stadium staff, too, has geared up to prepare the stadium. (Read all about it here)

The #MateWeAreReady campaign is not just about cricket. It says a lot about Pakistan’s heart and its hospitable culture. With a natural and calm confidence, the ad shows why the Pak vs Aus T20 series has a cozy vibe to it, as it’s one of the tours right before the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.

What’s It Like being a Guest In Pakistan?

The ad starts with a scene where our guest is present at a restaurant for dinner overlooking a peaceful view, and just when all the mouth-watering dishes are presented on the table, he wonders out loud, “That’s a lot! Who is going to pay for this?” Before the guest can analyze the situation, he’s told it’s already been taken care of. Because it’s the simple truth which every Pakistani knows: a guest never pays… Following the clarification that:

“Apka bill Agha ji (referring to Pakistan cricket team captain Salman Ali Agha) ne bhar dia hai. ”

Then comes a moment that sums up Pakistani vibes when Salman Ali Agha is found sitting on the other table and lays out the factual truth of the Pakistani nation, saying: “Mehmaan ho ji aap hmare”, and our Australian guest responds with “Shukria” to make the heartfelt gesture feel complete. A kind gesture of pure respect and warmth with which guests all over Pakistan are treated with.

The scene that roasts the handshake incident with the Indian cricket team

Since Pakistanis have a natural habit of friendly roasting that often comes at unexpected moments without warning. Just when the ad stretches our sense of hospitality beyond the restaurant, the moment shifts outside. As the guest steps out of the taxi, the driver jokingly points out the missed handshake, turning it into a playful roast to the incident surrounding the Handshake dilemma that Pakistan’s cricket team experienced at the hands of the Indian cricket team. The ad playfully touches on this sports incident with a brief, awkward laugh.

A Competitive Closing Tone

The ad gives a clear and straightforward message that Pakistan’s hospitality and its passion for cricket are two sides of the same coin. Just the way we’re always ready to host guests with open arms, Pakistan is always ready to look challenge daringly in its eyes with the spirit of sportsmanship… because when it comes to cricket, mate, we are ready.

The smiles stay, but the message is firm. Sending off the message that being kind doesn’t mean being weak. And when it comes to cricket, our Game is always On.

That’s how this ad is more than just an advertisement. It’s a bigger and gentler message.
